Hi, as a long standing aviation enthusiast, aeronautical HF (short-wave) monitor and aviation historian I am delighted to join your group which I have to say is a mine of most informative material.
I have recently published a book on the history of the old HF communications complex at Birdlip/Winstone, Glos., of which some of you may already be aware.

Looking forward to exploring your site and hopefully will be able to contribute some material from this side of the Irish Sea over time!

Regards,
Colin

Hi Colin, Welcome to the forum, look forward to any information / photographs that you may have. My cousin was married to a man from Dublin who sadly recently passed away. We've been to the Guinness factory in Dublin a few years ago, it was a great week in your country.

Thanks, presently researching the Hastings Met "Bismuth" flights out of Aldergrove, NI. I'm sure I will have to call upon this group for assistance!
Glad you enjoyed a pint of 'plain' in G's.

Nice one! Do they take Euro's? I see it is near Chicksands, is their 'elephant cage' aerial still there?

The cage is all gone, but the bases can still be seen on GE
