Good Afternoon,

Just signed up as I'm trying to research the history of a Series One Land Rover that I own. It was stationed at North Weald and I have a very poor photocopy of it in use at the base bearing the numerals F/11. I believe it was used for bird scaring.

It's a long shot but you can but try!

Kind Regards
Charlie

Welcome

I think you will find that F/11 signifies

11 Group Fighter Command

Thank you, I've got that bit I'm now trying to see if I can find additional images of the period and perhaps track down where the original image came from.

Manythanks
Charlie

OK well using the forum search for the phrase land rover gets 562 results
www.airfieldresearchgroup.org.uk/forum/s...0/2017&childforums=1

there is a bird scare thread here

The North Weald thread is here

and a google image search to match your photo failed to find a match, mainly because your photo is quite grainy I think
