Hi i'm tommo from essex. Ex army but served on a lot of raf bases, now army- leconfield bassingbourn ouston. My family hail from lincolnshire in coningsby, my great grandfather was army ww1 ramc, but worked air ministry after ww1 for 20 years in what capacity unknown?

Grandfather also lived coninsgby before joining navy ww2, lot of history in lincolnshire coningby area.

Currently live about 6 miles from stow marries airfield, boreham airfield couple of miles away too.

Have you browsed the forum index for Essex sites? Should be something to interest you. Being a home county there is a great deal of WW2 infrastructure extant but disappearing fast.
