Lifelong interest in avaition and local "modern" history.
Currently, as part of my job at the airfield, looking into the history etc of RAF Turweston - Pundit code TW / ICAO EGBT. Just wish I could have started it some 10 years or so ago when more folks were still around.
Not really a job working here, more a paid hobby and looking for any stories etc from the airfield's whole history - RAF, army and civilian.
Welcome Gary. I joined recently too being interested in my dad's old Bomber Command base and I'm only 25 mins from Turweston.
Responses on the forum are very few (ie zero) based on my initial questions. I did receive a response to a couple of DMs though, but nothing on the forum pages. That said, there's a lot of useful info if you have a dig around using the search function.
I'd be happy to help but I'm very much the new boy at school here!
kindest regards

Welcome to the forum both. Facebook seems to have attracted members away from this forum but fails to delivery anything like the amount of information this forum does due to its linear format.

Thanks Peter. Good to be aboard and hoping to make a contribution to the preservation of the legacy.
