I really should not have done it , but I rather rudely posted to three discussions before self introduction . (actually the astute among you , and I am sure there must be many , will notice that I can't count)
So as a penance I won't tell you what a brilliant bloke I am .
But being ex RAF and ex Armaments Industry , I suppose I should let you know a bit of basics .
I was born at an early age and succeeded in surviving WW2 right through to age 77 .
Never learned much , so not a lot to say really . Except that I am a wrinkly . All ex RAF personnel will know what that is . Ask them .
Welcome to the forum. Thanks for posting your memories of your local airfields. Being a youngster, born 10 years after the war, I find that a lot more memories seem to become available. When I listen to my Dad, who is still going strong at 94, telling his stories of the old days I find I am doing the same to my kids although mine are not anywhere near as exiting!
