New RAF Finningley ANS

Can anyone remember when the £M5.3 white elephant was opened, and by whom? It was sometime in the early nineties, and the chap was our senior navigator of Air rank.
I do recall the edifice was designed to accommodate up to 480 students, but with the five year lead time to opening that requirement had dropped to just 48 . . . but what's a zero between friends when the navigator was destined to disappear in a decade or so!

It was officially opened 14 Jan. 1992. Somewhere I have the identity of the senior officer who opened it but can't, at present, find it,

It was highly likely that it was opened by AOC 18 Group, it seemed to be the thing for AOC 18 Group to be a 3 star nav.
