I am Jaap Woortman from Nuenen in the Netherlands.
Born June 1944 and a retired mech. eng. from Philips R&D.
Since 1983 member of the Dutch Study Group Airwar 1939-1945.
In 2009 we have published a study about the historie of the Dutch airfields during
WWII, "Vliegvelden in oorlogstijd". Amsterdam. 2009.
The study was published in cooperation with the NIMH by Boom, Amsterdam.
We expect to publish a reprint in 2016/17.

After the publication of "Vliegvelden in oorlogstijd" I have started a study about
the infra structure at the Dutch airfields during WWII and a study of the Luftwaffe
aircraft losses during May 10th till 15th, 1940.
These two activities keep me out of the pub.
Wit regards,

Jaap Woortman

Welcome Jaap,

I should be interested in learning about any changes the German invaders made to the infrastructure of Dutch military airfields.

Welcome to the forum. I know very little about the Dutch airfields so I look forward to any posts that will add to my knowledge.

Have you seen this website ncap.org.uk?

It has a large coverage of Northern Europe and my have aerial photos of the airfields you are interested in. It costs £20 (about €25) to get an annual subscription to zoom in but you can view large thumbnails to see if it worth subscribing.

Thanks guys for your nice words.
The subject of airfields in the Netherlands during WWII is quite extensive.
We did the study with 15 persons during 15 years and we used 5 years for finishing the publication.
The reprint, also in Dutch, will be published this year.
In the attachment is the cover of the first print.

It would be good to have an English translation of that. Looks like a good book.
