Don't post much these days but just want to share a couple of pictures from the memorial to I believe the only RAF airman to lose his life in WW2 in the area now known as the UAE.
If you want to trace the location GE co-ords 25 32'29.48" N 56 20'58.64"E - not easy to find otherwise.
A number of RAF personnel currently serving in the Middle East recently held a small parade and service at the memorial, attended by some locals, foreign workers and British expats - a very nice touch for someone who died so far from home, and in a region now experiencing so much strife. Lest we forget.
