an association is being formed to provide a dedicated memorial to those who died while flying from this airfield, although there are several 'general' memorials to the fallen there is not one to comemorate the men-about one thousand, who failed to return to base here.
at this stage we are not after money, rather we are looking for support from any person, organisation or business who would like to be associated with this very worthwhile project, especially as what little of the base is fast disapearing under concrete.
