B17 Flying Fortress Crew Memorial May 2015 Essex

A while ago we found Irving Nussbaums' name listed on the Brooklyn War memorial in New York. Some images of this are posted above.

The NY Parks Department who look after the memorial publish a Parks Newsletter. In their latest edition, the Manager has put a small article together for their Veterans Day edition.

Sadly over Christmas the brother of Irving passed away aged 92. He had been thrilled to learn about his brothers memorial being planned for this year, and had been reminiscing with his daughter. He dug out all of his old photos.

His daughter still plans to come to the ceremony in Braintree.

Maxwell was buried with full military honours.
