Is there a project in Kew to digitalise the AIR 28 files ?????

6 RCAF Bomber Group (organisation, airfields, squadrons, aircarft, and their 70 crashes in Belgium (location, crew, evasion lines, cemeteries, PoW Camps, etc...). Busy for a couple of years !!!!!!

I haven't heard of one but I think they are currently working on the casualty files (ex-AHB?) so may not have time to look at anything else yet.

It would be good if they were available but I have found the AIR 28 series less informative than AIR 27 but they may be just bad luck in my choice of airfields to look at.

AIR27 and AIR28 must be complementary somewhere.

I looked after AIR27 and the 6th RCAF Bomber Group squadrons... as I wanted the period 1943 up to May 1945 for all squadrons, I got a bad surprise... more than 2000£.

Even knowing I saving bed&breakfast, train/aircaft to get in London/Kew, it is still expensive...
