This is good news for the aircraft in that it will be out of the elements and get some TLC, but as far as I can make out, the building it is going into is going to be very closely tailored to the shape of the aircraft so that photography will be difficult

When I thought of the number of Concorde's on display in the UK I only knew of those at Duxford , East Fortune and Manchester Airport having seen all three and knowing that they are under-cover . A quick check reveals that as well as the Filton example there is one at Brooklands and another at Heathrow , both of which are displayed outside and another one under cover at Yeovilton so seven in all within the UK . Isn't Concorde one of those rare aircraft where most of those built still survive?

The new Aerospace Museum opens on 17 October 2017. The ticket website had crashed due to demand when I visited it earlier, but was up and running later

The main building occupied by Aerospace Bristol is the former WW1 hangar which has been given a great deal of TLC including a new roof
