The museum is to undergo a revamp over the winter. The first part to be affected is the Archive and it is already NO LONGER accepting search requests or visits from researchers as its all being packed in boxes in preparation for a move.
The Museum itself will close to the public on 29th October 2018 and will reopen at Easter 2019. Two aircraft are leaving and two arriving (actually they have already been in the store for several years), whilst many others are being moved about. This disruption to the display is the reason for the closure to the public.
I'm a volunteer at the museum and will be involved in the work so I'll try and remember to post anything of interest as it happens.
