The northern tip of Longhedge Lane. SK73607 47993. Try not to block the lane though. Difficult, as it's narrow and there is quite a ditch alongside in places. Severn Trent want access to their facility at the far end as well.
I would expect the access road (the old A46 before replacement) to be coned off in the vicinity of the two runway ends, but you might be lucky. SK738473 ish. Should all else fail, or you be crowded out, there is a public footpath from opposite Elston Towers to the Trent, but I think that will place you a little too far from the Eastern runway end to be ideal for you.
