Flying Tales at the Wisbech Institute

On Saturday November 10, The Wisbech Institute, in Scrimshires Passage, is hosting an all-day aviation event, with guest speakers and a book signing.
Doors open at 10am for free admission to the main hall, where visitors will be able to browse information stands and stalls selling memorabilia, books and original artwork.
There will also be an exhibition of aviation paintings and prints, with an entry fee of £1.
A series of talks and presentations kicks off at 3pm, with Michael Evans signing copies of his new book RAF Duxford, as well as talking about the famous airfield.
Peter Baker, who served as a navigator on the Avro Vulcan, will be talking about flying the Cold War bomber, and there will be presentations on Douglas Bader and The Dambusters, by 272 Wisbech Squadron, Air Training Corps.
Admission to the book signing and talks is just £2.50 and tickets are easily available from:

Fully Booked, your local independent bookshop, has organised the event in conjunction with The Wisbech Institute and members of the Wisbech Town Team, in support of the ongoing renovation and return to use of the Institute buildings.
