A great way to spend Easter Saturday. Aircraft already confirmed include Pembroke, 2x Jet Provost, DH Dragonfly, 2x Mustangs, 4x Harvards, various Yaks etc etc -
What is/was looking like being a great fly-in is now sadly in doubt due to the amount of rain that has fell on Sywell over the last few days. Although it's not until Easter Saturday apparently the situation is that bad that it may well not have drained away in time. A decision will be made nearer the time apparently. The re-opening of the Sywell Air Museum will still go ahead on the same date thankfully.
Here's some info from the official faceache page -
Dear All.
We have been subject to some heavy rain over the last few which has sadly put doubt into the fly-in going ahead due to the airfield being waterlogged and surface water starting to appear.
We are working very closely with Sywell on trying to make sure the fly-in goes ahead as planned
We shall endevour to keep you informed about the latest news about the fly-in
Lets hope for some sun and wind!
