WHERES THE PATH website - Old 25000 mapping was created by PETERTHEEATER

The subject website Wheres the Path is used a great deal to illustrate the locations of places under discussion.

Many members post WTP links showing 'Old 25000 map and, side-by-side the equivalent satellite view. I have not been able to 'see' the 25k mapping for a long time implying that access is blocked in my location but not in the UK. Is this so? Can you see it or are you posting a blank screen too?

I have just checked and the Old 25K maps are appearing, and at all zoom levels. Odd that they don't appear because they are, in theory, out of copyright.

Peter, can you see the SABRE website?

I believe they host the Old 25K maps for WTP and maybe they are blocking overseas access? The 1:25,000 maps on the SABRE site are actually under "OS One Inch". If you can view them on here then it must be something in the WTP website - I assume.

I am able to see the 2 and a half inch maps from Canada. ( yes I must have good eye sight)

Yes, I can see the maps on SABRE website and thanks for the link. I get the same blank screens using my VPN showing my location as UK!
