I own the book (Vol.1) Twice. I have always wanted to check out the Appendices, apparently it was first issued with maps in a slipcase, but alas, modern reprints lack this feature. It's not available online somewhere is it?
The only WW1 book related I recall reading was "Full Circle" but that included WW2 and after. It was part of a whole set of Pan reprints I was given to commemorate the Battle of Britain in 1965 and all with the same cover style.
