I'm always amazed by the number of just-published books which appear on Amazon and already have half-a-dozen reduced-price used copies.

There are also lots of 'used copies' of many other books selling for considerably more than new ones. (apparently the same edition - important as e.g. the second editions of the Moyles / Rawlings classics 'Bomber / Fighter Squadrons of the RAF were very inferior to the first).

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite

I suspect buying up copies of the new Dobinson AA Command book may be profitable. Put them on eBay and tag them as "RARE", "Battle of Britain", "Spitfire", "Lancaster", "Dam Buster" etc.
Should be better than the interest rate :)

I ordered this title from Smiths at the end of July. In the aftermath of moving house I realise that I never received it and, it does not now appear on the Smiths website although two other Colin Dobinson titles do and are shown as 'In Stock'

I have emailed Smiths awaiting response.

Did any forum reader order this title and receive it?

As I expected. Smiths have responded with an apology that they have no stock and no forecast and have cancelled my order.
