I have used this very helpful site, many times over the years, to convert Cassini Grid to NGR. It would appear that the site has closed down and I wonder if anyone knows of a similar helpful site.

Down for me too. I hope it comes back soon as I have a lot of old grid refs to double check. I  probably used it at least once a week for the last umpteen years.

There are other conversion sites I believe but this was the best one in my opinion, especially as it also had an Irish grid version.

Have you had any joy, yet? There appears to be sites that can play around with Postcodes, NGRs and all other conversions, but, not the much-needed Cassini to NGR converter.

I seem to have drawn a blank...

Does this do the job?

I have not got any figures to test it on.

Yes it does Martin, after a fashion, thanks. It's a bit of a long-winded process for the conversion gives only a Lat/Long reading which itself has to be converted separately to NGR. That's where Fielden was so useful because it performed the whole detail at a stroke.

Certainly it's good to be going on with until someone picks up the tab where Fielden left off.

I tended to convert to NGR and Lat/Long so will miss that aspect. The best thing about the now defunct Fielden converter was that it converted a single input to everything else. I know when I was looking for a converter a decade or more ago nothing came close to the Fielden offer. What we need is a standalone app that runs the Fielden model.
