GOOGLE EARTH VIEWER - How to duplicate Placemarks

I use Google Earth (not Maps!) to save Placemarks.

Frequently I need to create multiple Placemarks with identical information but in a different location.

Is there a simple way to do this? The method given in AI responses does not work.

I can create a duplicate Placemark by going to the Places column on the left of the viewer, Right clicking, Click 'Copy' and duplicate is created in the column.

But, in reality, it has created duplicate Placemark in exactly the same spot. So, clicking on the Placemark in the viewer,two identical Captions appear emanating from the same spot. One on a short White Line and one on a short Red line.

How do I 'capture' one of these and put it in a different location?

I used to be able to do it and it was 'fiddly' but now it wont work.

Even GE Help says 'Right click the Placemark (in the viewer) then click Copy. Move to new location 'Right click and Paste' but that is Bravo Sierra.
