In fact the CAA Publications (CAP's) are well worth looking at if you're interested in current airfield (airport) operations...

www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/CAP637.PDF for example deals with runway marking and lights.

and www.nats-uk.ead-it.com/public/index.php%...&id=6&Itemid=13.html for runway charts and airfield layout diagrams etc etc

all up to date stuff of course - but interesting for comparison purposes...

Great links chaps. The aerodrome charts always used to be subscription I thought.
I notice they are in colour as well.

Never seen seen the CAA licences before either. Must look up my favuorite airfield(s).
