Has anyone else found this before digital drawings of all of different hangar types www.defence-estates.mod.uk/publications/...002/tb02drawings.php I also found on here design & maintenance guides for C type hangars, J&K type hangars, a technical bulletin thats a guide to identification of WW2 hangars & a guide to T2 hangars.

I'll carry on trawling through to see what else is here.

There is also a nice line in Bye Laws which include maps in some cases.

That's better I just fixed my link.

Nice to have proper CAD drawings of hangars now to find the rest of the structures.

Hmm, I see the Dalgety Bay radio active beach makes it on there too. For those not aware, the Naval Air Station at Donibristle on the north shore of the Firth of Forth broke up loads of aircraft, and some of the remains were used as landfill/just dumped. Sadly the instruments had radium( or other radio active substance) paint on them so they could be seen in the dark, this has resulted in frequent searches for particles on the beach etc...

Yes, I always laugh at the legislation which bans stuff that was in common use years ago and to which milions of us were exposed apparently without ill effect.

Due to customer fear of asbestos the company I worked for spent a fortune replacing cockpit insulation free of charge only to find later that it was the benign variety!

I recall as a boy a famous magic and novelty company who sold little tins of luminous paint eagerly bought up by the kids to daub on toys so that they could see them glow in the night.
