Pubs with aviation themed names and particularly their signs are often an indication to a local aviation connection , event or airfield and as such are perhaps worth inclusion in this thread . Unless they are in another thread.....?

There are probably several books or booklets which have been published about individual aviation memorials rather than list compilations and I do not include dedication Order of Service booklets in this . Two in my collection are ;
The RAF St Eval Memorial - an A4 size booklet sold at a minimum suggested price of £1 in aid of church funds and available inside the church which is , certainly was , open to the public and stands in the NW corner of the airfield and signed off the local roads . The booklet has a description of the memorial , the stained glass window , plaques and Book of Remembrance plus a potted history of the airfield and a list of resident units . Last edition I have is July 2004 .
Strathpeffer Aircrew Memorial Bandstand - another A4 booklet with card covers produced in 1997 by the Highland Branch , Aircrew Association to raise funds for a memorial to the many WWII Aircrew of all nationalities who were killed or wounded while flying operationally or on training sorties from the 32 bases (Airfields , harbours and Flying-Boat moorings) in the Highlands , the Islands and the Grampian area of Northern Scotland .
There is a list and map of these bases plus a description of the memorial .
