Hi,
Has anyone had a look at this publication in the National Archives and if they have can they tell me where they found it. I have looked through AIR1 but have not been able to locate it in the Index. I would like to order it in advance of my next visit if it is not on a shelf.
I know it covers Aerodromes at Home; does it cover those overseas as well?

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

Not sure where you can find it, it always has been a problem. Many years ago I annotated all the volumes which has become a small part of a print ready book on WWI aerordromes (over 500 pages) but due to no money for printing it, the project is in abeyance.
You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

These docs are held by the National Archives at Kew.
AIR1/464/15/312/139 printed quarterly survey of RAF Stations (UK) with Maps.
AIR1/2118/207/71 Quarterly survey of Stations of the RAF Nov 1918
AIR1/2107/207/43/2 Map of Great Britain and Ireland showing areas, groups and RAF stations.
