A collection of accounts by ex WAAFs who served in Bomber Command during WW2. It has a foreword by Air Marshal Sir Andrew KcKee, KCB,CBE,DSO,DFC AFC who served as a Flight Commander up to Base Commander in 3 Group Bomber Command. Looks like the control tower at Mildenhall in the background of the 1944 photograph when the King and Queen visited. So far it's very interesting.....
I have finished this book,and would recommend it too anyone. Full of short stories that tell the working-side of the life of a WAAF during WW2. Also the personal experiences that are sad and good. Wasn't glad that I had the shingles but pleased that I read this book during that time!
