United States Strategic Bombing Surveys (USSBS). Anyone bought any of these, available from USA on CD for about £3.50 plus £3.50 postage. They cover bombing of targets in NW Europe, Germany and Japan. Targets vary from airfields, car, aircraft factories, submarine pens, oil refinerys, marshalling yards and munition factories, even towns and how public air raid shelters dealt with the allied air offensive etc. Mainly US raids but some British too, including Tallboy dropping on submarine pens in N France. Also the US atomic attacks on Japan. Just bought the one on UK air defence 1940. About 200 available, they very in size from 50 pages to 150 and include maps, diagrams and photos.

If interested Google Abebooks and then keyword search 'USSBS' into their search engine

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

Let us know what they are like. At that price some look to be worth a try.

There are quite a few available to read online for free from various sources and to varying levels of completeness.

I have Copy No 5 of the USSBS Civilian Defense Report No 5 Bad Oldesloe Field Report and Copy No 58 of the USSBS Civilian Defense Report No 3 Hanover Field Report. They are a fascinating read. They were given to me years ago by a Cornwall county council civilian emergency co-ordinator. And no they are not for sale!
