I see that there are books by Roger A. Freeman in existence - "Mighty Eighth in Colour" & "Mightly Eighth the Colour Record". From my checks on the internet they appear to have different ISBN numbers, and it looks like "Mighty Eighth the Colour Record" has a lot more pages (160 and 224 respectively). Could anyone tell me if they are the same book, or rather if one is an expanded version of the other? I already own "...in Colour" and was wondering if it was worth picking up a copy of the other book.
I was caught-out like that a few years ago. I bought a book called; Castles In The Air, by Martin Bowman. This was 1984. Ten years later from a Duxford airshow bookstall I bought a book called; Four Miles High, also by Martin Bowman. This second book is almost the same as the first, but with eight colour pages; 8th Air Force in colour. Six of the chapters are titled the same, and the print is slightly larger which gives it a few more pages. Also the cover is totally different so you think that it's a different book. It was over-priced then at £20.00 but I bought it without really checking through it properly. I felt really conned when I compared it to the earlier book......
