I got sidetracked to the Charles Close Society website via another thread. Amongst the digitised maps was this gem.

It is of North Wales and Manchester from 1946 designed for Civil Aviation use. More importantly it shows the range danger areas at the time. Brilliant, where are the rest?
Sadly, labelled as an experimental map, it never reached production.
