I use the BNA and once you register you can store all your likely hits and then pay for a short term subscription and blitz them all. I did find that I couldn't use the points quota so frequently lost a lot of them as they exprired. Shame you can't just buy points without time limit, or at least a limit of two years to use them.

Also 19th Century British Newspapers but you don't get much aviation in that (or the Burney Collection of 17th and 18th Century Newspapers).
Not sure how far in the 20th Century they reach but there are national newspaper archives in Australia and NZ, their newspapers tended to carry a lot of British news items. Both freely accessible.
