Derek,

A lot of us are aware of this site but there are probably a lot that aren't so it never hurts to post links you have found. As Dave says it uses MSVE and I prefer it because it is more consistant in quality and a lot of the coverage is from 1999. Not as good quality as more recent stuff but captures a few locations that have now been dug up or altered considerably. Googles offer is excellent but from a lot of different providers.
If you are interested in older aerial photo's I posted this list a while back and I am still on the look out for more!

OK Chaps game over - it's mine.

Here's a few factoids about it (the sort of things that keep me amused but will probably bore the rest of you)

1. Like everything I'm involved with it needs updating.
2. In 2007 it won a Microsoft Competition Prize (new copy of Vista Ultimate urgggh) as the UK site that had done most to show people that there are alternatives to Google Maps. (it was Live Local then - and I don`t think they had many entries)
3. Quite frequently I receive abusive emails from people demanding I update the imagery or remove the site from the Internet.
4. It's been copied all over the place - but I don`t care.
5. The day the BA 777 landed short the Heathrow Page attracted nearly 250,000 unique visitors. (presumably to see what would have happened if it hadn`t quite made it)
6. Like everything I'm involved with it needs updating.
7. I'm preparing a listing for RAF Germany - but need to do a bit more work before publishing.
8. Like everything I'm involved with it needs updating.

Cheers
Dave

Not a single one of the places I was based or trained at during my 12 are still RAF. Even most of the ones I visited while based at Luffenham with GRSC are gone now, the only exceptions being Coningsby and Valley
