The Mighty Eighth War Diary is the only one of the Roger Freeman series I didn't buy. At the time it didn't satisfy the criteria set by the purchasing committee (my wife)! I am now thinking of buying a copy but would really like to know if it included details of training missions and the ranges used. I tend to skip the operational stuff these days and I dare say most other readers skip the non-operational stuff

Dave, I downloaded that document a while back. As it was focused on the Stateside training it didn't help with UK ranges but it gave a good insight into state of bombardier training prior to the US joining the war.
