I`ve just bought a copy of "Scottish Airfields of the Second World War" by Martyn Chorlton. This is Volume 1 and covers The Lothians. That is East Fortune, Drem, Macmerry, Lenoxlove, Turnhouse and Kirknewton. Excellent stuff!!
I am hoping it is part of a future series and Vol 2 etc will cover other areas.

Does Martyn explain the twin airfields at Drem?

You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!

Hello
Yes I do, and you may be interested to know that Countryside have asked me to do seven volumes for Scotland. Fife is out in a couple of months. No time! Must get on with it!
