I am trying to identify which airfield is used in the TV program "Thunder Races"
It is currently being shown on Sky channel 144 Quest at 7.10 in the morning
Today they were out on the road looking for suitable cars to use and they went past a junction on the A418
Signposted Aylesbury and Stone ahead and Cuddington , Chearsley , Long Crendon as a left turn and Dinton ,Ford on the right
This location must be near the airfield I thought Westcott in Buckinghamshire but not sure
Thanks

If its this episode, the airfield at 2.04 is Enstone.

The frame at 2.10 shows the track goes straight through the WW2 bomb dump, bottom right.

Yes I think you could be right about Enstone I believe the series was made in the early 2000`s so much may have changed since then
Although Haddenham is the closest to the location, but there doesnt seem to be much left there especially from the air views.
Thanks for replying

I have been watching the old Lovejoy episodes over the last couple of weeks on Gold. There was one a few days ago that used an airfield in East Anglia (I think) including inside the control tower. IMDB does not have any location information unfortunately - Flying the Flag .

The filming was centred on Great Bardfield, and Wethersfield and Gosfield are nearby.

Problem is I have no way of watching the Lovejoy episode so am relying on others to shoot me down.

The airfield in Lovejoy was RAF Wethersfield . The control tower was demolished about 10 years ago

Thanks. The programmes are around the early 1990s, I thought they were older.
