I have been sent these photos and notes, can anyone help please?
The photograph was taken between 1943-1945, when the Flying Officer was at RAF Eastchurch, RAF Wymeswold and RAF Castle Donington. I surmise he was at one of these stations or visited a nearby USAAF Base.
I have been concentrating on the building, but with your ’Jeeps at the Reunion Run’ with hundreds there, is there any clue on my picture as to where the jeep might be. There are no numbers on the number plate. Were there different kinds of jeep for different purposes? It looks as though it was taken from a car/jeep window. Can you ask all in your people at the Jeep Reunion Club.
