Just wondering if anyone can help me identify a number of items that I have recovered from a local USAAF dump site here in the U.K., I am sorry I am unable to name the location, as it is my place of work and would not want to jeopardise my livlihood.. USAAF A-20's, B-24'S, B-26's and B-17's were salvaged on this airfield at one time or another.
The circular moulded rubber piece, I have found countless amounts of these over the last few years. They are marked, with the number 32, and then a serial. I am guessing it is B-24 Liberator related, but I have no idea where its location on the aircraft would have been. I have joined a number together to show the circumference when they are joined together. The small red hollow buttons have me perplexed, any ideas? lots of these over the years.
Interested to find out what the On/Off faceplate is from, and the long stainless steel object, the rounded end would make me think of something hydraulic related.?? it has a serial number of 470381 embossed, there also appears to be some heat discolouration in the centre of it.
The buckle is staineless steel, good as the day it was made, has portions of black paint remaining in places, it appears to have a Douglas inspection stamp with the letters C2 inside, which would lead me to think it is from a Douglas A-20 possibly. any ideas on location?

The long cylindrical object is definitely part of a high pressure fluid system. As you hinted, the conical sealing face of the fatter end is the giveaway. The fact that there is no provision for a high pressure seal at the other end indicates that it is the end of the run and any pressure will be dissipated at this point . The fact that there is a long plain section between the hex portion and the smaller diameter thread points to it passing through a deep well before being screwed in. The heat discolouration might indicate that it could possibly be an engine oil supply adaptor, screwing into a cylinder head. All speculation of course. The output hole is smaller than the input hole. At what end of the object does this reduction take place internally?
