Agree - but where is it?

I thinks that's the tower well inside the perimeter track, and we've frying-pan hardstandings. A quick look through Mighty Eighth War Manual found nothing. Is it a USAAF station?

We'll move these posts soon.

Plan A is always more effective when the problem you are working on understands that Plan B will involve the use of dynamite

What we need is someone who can make out the letters in the signal square. I'm too old.

The photos you can download from ebay are too poor quality to discern any ID on the signal square

Seems to be a common misspelling, there are 36 items returned by the search, 238 if you include searching the description.....

You can even get a mug with misspelt word on it !

I recall some time ago that there was an app which searched for common mis-spellings in ebay descriptions on the grounds that you could buy the item cheaper because people who could spell would not have it on their radar.

One of the research ships used in the Antarctic is named after a famous explorer whose name differs from mine by one letter. I often find things like first day covers showing it, are picked up by my eBay search. I usually inform them but it shows how people don't check the wording of their eBay sales.

This is the cut-and-paste-from-paint version.
Anyone recognise it?
