CYPRUS - but where ? was created by David Thompson
This photograph was posted on the Air Britain forum earlier today with the question being posed ;
In connection with a forthcoming A-B book, I am trying to incontrovertibly identify a location.
Part of an image, showing buildings is attached.
What's known is that it was an RAF base, in Cyprus or Egypt, sometime between January 1949 and August 1954.
Do you recognise these buildings?
Can anyone help ?

David tells me that this is RAF Shallufa in Egypt , 1952 and a Beaufighter of the resident Target Towing Flight
