Def. in Britain and almost certainly USAAF. I can find it eventually, unaided, but someone please save me from a long search!

Agreed. It is Bury St Edmunds.
Look at it on Google Earth '1945' view. The bomb store trailing out to the east is an identifier.
And only $80 odd dollars for a photo of the the French decoy site. That's a bargain.

I missed that on my last search but then I only buy from UK sellers at present. A tad expensive though.

This was in the TNA file of 140 Sqn photos, most of which were of fixed positions or troops and vehicles, which I assume was from an instructional set. Only three airfields appear at the end, all of the usual poor quality scans, Lasham, Newmarket and the attached unknown or unnamed location.
I'm guessing it is an SLG as it wasn't named but it may be a dispersal area for a MU airfield or any airfield for that matter.
I have only checked out my first thought, which it wasn't, so I thought it might be a challenge to identify.

Looks like some sort of large country house, top left, which might narrow it down.

I've tried Harlaxton and Wimpole Hall, thinking the same. It's neither of those.
