This one is an old picture of airfield control tower in my city. I'm not quite familiar with aviation equipment what are these things are and the uses. I only know the windsock and searchlight, but didn't know the specific model. I hope any of the members here could help me identify these items here, thanks.

There is three options for the first pic left side. The ball on the mast (if its red) could indicate that parachute dropping is in progress. It could also mean that the Duty Flight is here (if its a yellow ball). Further it could indicate that there is a vehicle obstruction but it would normally be a disc having another disc at right angles to the first ie in cruciform shape in section.
You can tell a builder from an archaeologist by the size of his trowel. Mine is a small one!
Thank you for the explanation. After doing a little bit of searching I found it called Cane Balls, and also the top part of the tower might be a beacon light!
The large searchlight on top of the roof is possibly an Aerodrome Beacon (not to be confused with an Ident Beacon); 2 sided and rotates showing red (military) or green (civil) one side and white the other side.
