I have had this for many years found on the Treligga Range.  It is in faded FAA colours.  Stamped markings 5862 SIIT14 FI206. Can anyone identify the aircraft type?

As Fleet Air Arm information is hard to come by, it might be difficult to tie down to a single type of piston or jet. I have never had a reply from the FAAM museum that wasn't about asking for copies of plans.

Apart from a 'cannon' fairing it could be a control surface hinge fairing.

Can I suggest that you post this on the WW2AIRCRAFT.NET Forum which has a lot of detectives many with obscure Parts Lists who have answered
many such queries relating to WW2 aircraft parts and components.
