Continued on the complete re-visiting of airfields again, saw these again at Fiskerton... could someone please educate me, as to what they are ??? Thanks ..PC (Sorry if its in the wrong place but not sure what to put it under..:oops:

Almost! certainly Contact Light fittings. Fiskerton's status was 'C/L part complete' in 1944.

Were they on / near the main runway?. Can you turn one over and have look at the bottom?

With Carnaby on that, they are the concrete bases for the light filttings, but kept upside down!
Even the more recent light bases were in that style.

Yes, turn one over and it should have a circular hole in it, may even have the surounding iron fitting that the light bolts down to.
