Top Gear, 2 Feb 14 - Use of ASU Airfield

Hi,

Does anyone know which ex ASU airfield was used for the "old hot hatch" tests last Sunday. It appeared before they moved to Caerwent and wasn't their usual Dunsfold location.

I didn't see that programme, but they have used Kemble before.

They have used Bentwaters in the past for a lot of the stunts.

Bentwaters isn't an ASU though;-)

Very true but I thought we might as well have the full list for completeness while we were at it!

I think we covered the TG locations in another thread somewhere, thinking on I'm sure Wroughton has been used as well.

Clarkson lives in Chipping Norton, and wants to use Enstone for future TG episodes. Before going to Caerwent, he may have been at Great Rissington?

I dare say you are correct on both counts!

Wroughton & Little Rissington are possibilities - right hangars and empty airfields. Unlikely to have been Kemble as no sign of aircraft in the background.
