Where is this? - possibly Mildenhall??

Hi people, Once again I hope this is the correct place to post this question ? I have recently been allowed access to an exceptional group of photos from the career of an RAF person ! Although these are mainly pictures of aircraft, there are structures in the background, and those structures are your 'forte' So my question to you all is ... There are two distintive hangars in the pic below etc etc (oh and some aircraft) but where is it ???? Is it Mildenhall ? as this person spent some time there in the 1930's ish .... I am so convinced that you people are the only ones to give me the answer ????

I'm not an airfield specialist, and I guess there will be someone along with the definitive answer shortly, but my bit of inspired guesswork is

The structures are Double Bay Belfast Truss hangars.

If that is correct it cannot be Mildenhall.

Casting around the locality I'd guess Duxford is the likeliest candidate.

Come on experts... demolish me

Certainly not Mildenhall. Good old Willis & Holliss (quickest reference I could lay my hands on) lists Mildenhall as having: 3 C-Types; 2 A-Types;2 T-2.

However, same source gives DX as having: 8 Blister; Belfast 1 single and 3 double.

I'd put my meagre ration money with yours Moggy, on Duxford, for the time being.

I don't know if it's Duxford, but can you see the little observation post on the hangar just above the left wing (as you look at it). There's a few photos on the control tower website with a similar looking observation post at Duxford, take a look, 1st,3rd and 4th picture www.controltowers.co.uk/D/Duxford.htm

The reason I don't know if it is Duxford is the hangar at Duxford with the observation tower had another single hangar (partially seen in the first picture in the link above) where the aircraft in the picture is parked, (the one blown up in the Battle of Britain film), the onlt other thing to assume is it wasn't built when the above picture was taken.

Did other airfields have similar observation posts built on aircraft sheds?

Now known as not Duxford (or Mildenhall) as a further pic shows the double service shed along side a 'C' hangar.
This must narrow it down quite a bit - any guesses.

Re the observation post (early ATC?) I thought they were fairly common to these hangars? I initialy thought Kenley because of it.

I went straight to airfield structure audit (as built) section to solve this, but staggered to find nothing on Hangars at all!

Ah, I was wondering RAF Sealand!

Aircraft wise Boscombe makes the most sense, but I didn't know it had double GS sheds.

Big thanks people, I seem to have a supurb collection of photos, with very little detail on where and when ? My original offering of Mildenhall was based on the very little info the family have ?
This is being discussed on key publishing forum as well, as mawganmad said I posted this other pic, which is part of the same group of photos, showing another hangar, there is very little more help at the mo ! Thanks again to all.
