The motto will have to be changed, in English its after me the flood. So it will have to be after me not the flood!

Supposedly its what Louis the 16th said just before he was executed.

A couple of Chinooks flying north, low over "The Stitches" (the medieval field system) at Boscastle around 10 days ago.

Only managed one trip in one; there were 20 of us on board (all working at Farnborough) and as I was the only 'passenger' wearing a green bag and helmet, the loadmaster used me as his assistant..
Low level over the Lamborne Downs we went into a narrow valley to do some sloping ground work with the aforesaid loady hanging out of the forward hatch looking underneath and telling the pilots when each wheel touched down.   The couple walking along the ridge above us must have had a marvellous view looking down at us!    Then we flew down past Highclere Castle, passing under the 25 kVa power lines en-route (yes it was authorised).
Odiham usually do night flying on a tuesday so we get a Chinook eastbound along the M3 (just north of us) about 1030pm going through the Heathrow heli lanes and returning just after midnight.

We don't get that many anymore but my daughter does as they seem to visit Mereworth Woods a lot and that is a mile or two from her house.  We get lots of Apaches though.
