F35 demonstration team were in Gatineau, there is an election on the way in Canada, coincidence?

I had no realized how difficult it was to photograph a grey sleuth aircraft against a grey clouds sky!

That is currently the case and the RCAF has bought or is buying Hornets from Australia, but as I said we have a federal election coming up in October
. The campaigns only started a few days ago and defence is not being talked about yet.

And I cant really understand Australia buying the F35, the main reason IMO is due to it being single engined. Canada was offered the F16 but bought the F18 because it is twin engined.

I heard a rumour that Lakenheath will be getting some before Christmas, if not already there.

A long video for just the last few minutes of F-35s but good nonetheless. Spent a few hours in that car park but I got fed up with the vignette type photos caused by the fence.
