Parking fees at Farnborough are high compared to most GA airfields but that doesn't stop some bizjet operators from flying their passengers into Heathrow then re-positoning the aircraft to Farnborough to park for a few days, the parking fees at Heathrow being even more. And as for fees heres an example. I worked for Servisair at Manchester airport and one of the airlines we looked after was PIA. On a Tuesday they had a 747 come in from JFK. It would then sit on a stand for 8 hours before departing to Lahore. I wonder how much that cost?????

The QATARI 747SP, VP-BAT, picked up and dropped off at LHR but spent a lot of time parked up at Bournemouth

Farnborough is open 7 days per week/363 days per year 7am until 10pm weekdays and 8am - 8pm weekends/PH.I would have thought it would have made more sense to position a bizjet at Northolt. But having said that I believe there is a quota limit at Northolt, so maybe Ive answered that question!
