Runway Construction mishaps and oddities

It did in 1990 (operating JPs) when I was there for summer camp; the bases for the stanchions are still visible on both GE and ZoomEarth.

There was a cock up made in 95 when Leuchars was resurfaced. Somehow a dip appeared approx 2000ft from the threshold of 27, luckliy it was to one side of the runway. Obviously that part of the airfield is the post war extension, but I wonder if its things like this that caused it so close as a fighter base?

The 1970 En Route Supplement has Mk.5 on Rwy 09/27 only
The 1979 version has Mk.6(a) on 09/27 and 02/20
Then in 1988 they all became 'Type A'

I still cant remember even seeing the stanchions, stanchions were still there at Barkston on 06/24. Mind you I didnt enjoy my time at Cranwell.
