From experience you find that cuts are made at the lower ends of the payscales and that means more work for those left and the implications that may have on performance, morale and quality. The same savings could be made by removing a couple of tubs of lard at the top end. Morale usually has an immediate impact and others not affected soon leave making matters worse.
The people who decide who to make redundant usually have no clue as to the role that person performed in reality and the implications of them not being there.

no need to say sorry its all true. our firm is facing a few job cuts. wanting more work for less money. if it wernt for me and my team they wouldnt have nice enviroment to work and fly in lol
