I have a site plan (sort of! - more a landing chart) of Greatham, dated 194x (the last figure is obliterated). The peri-track is very different from Peter's aerial photo - its a smooth curve from the foreground to the admin site, rather than two straights and a 100 degree angle.
I have the same one. I think, like a lot of drawings from the same source, it is not always map accurate. The OS map does show a much tighter corner and a straight line to the buildings.
92fis - I thought it would be difficult. Once I get my slide scanner working I might have some to test you ground level guys.
If nobody posts one in the next couple of days I have another one that might be easier

It's not only you. Been trying to get in all day via different sources and only now succedded. The point about dial-up sounds right but I think it is more like : dial-up matched your expectations whereas broadband failed to match the hype.
